Our project in Kensington for our Client, in a 1 bedroom flat the architect and the client with our help managed to change things the way it was most suitable for them, the layout could not have been altered unfortunately but we have upgraded the bathroom the kitchen and bedroom of course living room.
The project started with a site meeting and discussing what are the plans from client and how we could transform that into reality, we worked with the architect closely, we had to make sure implanting the new future into the older Victorian design that our client imagined.
Our bathroom had a strange layout as the window happened to be at the back where we had only space enough for nice size shower, installing a modern hanging toilet with a nice double basin with black metal legs, the slick design just worked, with all the golden fittings, ( shower mixer and taps, pendants) the bespoke furniture to hide the boiler and give space for towels and all the things needs to be in the bathroom hidden.
The choice of small metro tiles from fire earth, and colour choice for the whole bathroom give a look as a Turkish bath ( that was the inspiration for my client).
Kitchen has a curved wall, we had to create a kitchen that will use the space well, flooring have been tiled a wood effect tile that gave an impression we have a nice wood flooring through from kitchen to bathroom.
All original features had to be kept like plaster coving in bedroom and living room, we replicated to hallway and kitchen including small hall way, changing sash window and remove window feature those were blocking the sunlit made a huge effect, the bespoke bookcase with cabinets and drawers on the bottom part with gold grill panels and lamps hanging from top to light up the books was a wonderful addition to the living room.
Wardrobe for bedroom and a extra cabinetry in hallway with doors an drawers, place where you can hide the coats and bags, cleaning items and much more.
Build a chimney breast for the new electric fire place to have a feeling of sitting in a Victorian house.
